Customers and brokers

Following the 2008 recession, Cristian and John, the founding members of MC Carrier LLC, who were running together a small construction company, started looking into a new, more viable business opportunity other than construction, because construction in Las Vegas at that time came to a halt. After a short period of driving trucks as company drivers and then as owner operators, learning the ins and outs of truck driving and what it means to drive trucks long haul, they decided to create a company and apply for Operating Authority. On November 20th, 2012, MC Carrier LLC was created. Following that, the company applied for all the permits, insurances and authorizations necessary to operate an Interstate Trucking company. While the paperwork was being filed, both kept on driving trucks as owner operators for a Chicago based trucking company and training new drivers that would eventually work for MC Carrier LLC. On June 14th, 2013 the permits to operate the company in interstate commerce were finally granted and at the same time the company purchased a used truck that was licensed under MC Carrier LLC. Cristian and John took turns at driving the truck, while the other stayed home and worked from a spare bedroom on making phone calls to new shippers, establishing new contacts and taking care of all the paperwork necessary to run a trucking business. The duo had to learn fast and on the go about the freight market, safety regulations and truck maintenance and repairs.  By the end of the year, the company purchased additional trucks and was operating a total of 9 trucks (5 company trucks and 4 owner operators). Finding qualified drivers and good paying freight was the name of the game. The founders had a lot of help from every person that they came in contact with : our insurance agents, numerous freight brokers, other people running trucking companies offered guidance and the drivers working for the company. The founders listened and learned from everyone. One thing did not change since the beginning of the company and even through the worst times: taking care of our most valuable asset, the drivers. MC Carrier LLC always made sure that the drivers get treated right and paid on time. A happy emplyee will make a happy customer. In 2014, MC Carrier LLC hired the first office employee, who is still with us to this day. The organization began searching for ways to improve and adjust to the market in order to create a desirable working environment for all in the company. We’ve listened to our drivers concerns and suggestions and implemented them when it made sense, never shying away from accepting advice. This helped MC Carrier tremendously in growing our business from the 2 truck operation in 2012 to over 145 trucks today and over 190 drivers, mechanics and office personnel who come day to day to work and getting the top benefits including great pay, full insurance package and a great 401K retirement plan to which our company is proud to contribute every year. With the help from our team, our story won’t stop here. Our plans for the future are big and our desire for success is even bigger.
